We are a family of four, leaving our lives behind us to travel the road and see how much we can see and learn in a year’s time. We’ll be reading and writing about education and probably all sorts of other things. We’re hoping to meet great people, see as many parks as possible, and learn as much as we can while on the road.

Wishing you all great times, great memories and safe travels. What an exciting adventure ahead! From (my) and our (family’s) travel experiences, I can tell you that there will be times when you may think to yourselves .. OMG I just need a moment to myself or what are we doing LOL? …. However with each new day, each new road you travel and each new sight you see will guarantee to be the best times of your lives. Looking forward to reading all about your journey! Be well, be safe and have the time of your lives!

Elena,
Combos will miss you on the field this year but I plan to check out your blog from time to time. I would have recommended the Church Brew Works for a meal in Pittsburgh and that is where you went!
Enjoy the trip!

I’m requesting a post from the kids. It doesn’t have to be long, but it would be great to hear their point of view. Spelling and grammar are optional from my point of view, but Mom and Dad may overrule that. KID POST, KID POST, KID POST!!!!!!

Hi Brian- it’s been swell to follow the adventures of you and your family. I’ve absorbed some of your writing as advice and am now a months into our travels in Italy. It’s’ been a challenge to get my blog off the ground because of a thousand technical difficulties but, please, if you have the chance, check it out! http://www.edibleitaly.net
Someday we’ll share road food recipes in Takoma Park…..or lobster in New England!
