Now in our 6th month, we’ve reached the half-way point of Big Trip. First semester is over, we’ve travelled roughly 10,000 miles and, come January, we will wave goodbye to California and head East. We will go slowly, spending a month in Arizona, another in New Mexico, and then roll over and down to South Texas to see more family and friends in March. By April, we will be heading across the South and by May we will be approaching Maryland to say hello, pick up our dog, and travel to New England for our last 2 months. There’s still a lot in front of us, but there’s now just as much behind us and December is a good time to reflect on what’s been wonderful and what’s been, well, an opportunity for growth.
